Jeff is precious. Muscle-bound short king, he was looking for ways to spice up his already-gender-expression-fluid wardrobe more for everyday and special occasions. He sat with some new ideas, and with time, he ventured out to experiment with (dare I say, fall in love with) unfamiliar silhouettes.
Look at that power pose!
My girlfriend Gina is tough to shop for. I was thrilled when I found this lightweight floral shirt. They've been wearing it now across formal and chill occasions. Gotta love second-hand treasures you can wear endlessly. Helping save the environment from textile waste too? Swoon!
Maria inspires me. She sews her own clothing often, and here we were searching for her unique wedding look. She made her own top and necklace. I advised on purchasing the skirt, how to layer, and chose the flowers to complement. The final look was so her.
Congrats Maria!
Alia is a seasoned dance professor and a dedicated member of the Bey-hive. Here she flaunts a dazzling and sexy summer look to a Beyonce concert.
Ready to twirl on ‘em.
Here I am on location dressing models for the Hestur brand photoshoot. Hestur makes luxury leather handbags here in Seattle.

Epic.
There was no budget for clothing rental, so I pulled from my own personal closet to dress the models. So glad the pieces came together to add vibrancy to this shoot!
Sweetheart professor Alec invited me to thrift with them one Sunday. Can you believe how this 45-minute Goodwill shopping trip had him walking out looking like a queer Brad Pitt? I just adore these half sunflower jeans on them.
Shana devours patterns for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A bright and printed closet called for layers that allow her prints to stand out. This vintage jacket will be great for a chilly office, and the neutral colors and geometric shapes help the patterns mix without competing.
Ooh, and the texture of that leather detail? Heck yeah.
Photographer Janna spends her energy framing people in the best light. Now is her time to shine :) We shopped curated vintage and second-hand to find these chic treasures. What a statement. She is truly one-of-a-kind, and I’m delighted to help her show it.
My clients often have exactly what the look needs already in their closet or jewelry box. Check out this rad enamel ring and how it sets off a pink/white/beige monochrome look. Adorable, there’s even a hidden mirror inside.
Nice find, Jeff.
Here’s me, Melanie, feeling feisty.
I love that I can dress for my mood each day, while supporting local creators and curators in Seattle. This look? You can find their local businesses on Instagram.
